🧟‍♀️ TRAVEL ZOMBIES

Just wanted to update you on how things are going.

We returned from our latest trip to Japan about three weeks ago. Although we’ve made the trip a number of times, the jet lag this time was unusually intense. Our return journey totaled approximately 30 hours, with no hotel stay to break it up. This was due to our eagerness to return to Japan and our decision to leave from the West Coast directly after San Diego Comic-Con. We were a bit ambitious, and our bodies paid the price once we finally returned home.

Our return trip was a marathon this time around: Tokyo to San Francisco, then San Diego, Washington, and finally Syracuse, with a 6-hour layover in the middle. We decided it was best to stay in the airport during the layover since we had our luggage with us and didn’t want to drag it around town.

Typically, we have a rough week or two settling back in after a trip. This time, however, we knew it would be worse than usual. We underestimated just how challenging it would be. There was pneumonia, doctor visits, sleep deprivation, and 14-hour sleep sessions, but thankfully a Game of Thrones re-watch helped ease the insanity.

After three weeks (and six GoT seasons), we’re mostly healed and back to our old selves.

Now that things are back to normal-ish, the next item on our agenda is the new merch drop. Thankfully, while I was sick, I managed to catalog everything from our last trip. I just need to create some spectacular bundles and take some fancy photos, which will take a bit of time but hopefully not too much.

Following that, we’re working on a few projects that we’re very excited about. No spoilers yet, but keep your eyes peeled. Here’s a hint: It’s the next step in our social media phase.

Have a great week, and please be mindful of your travel plans by considering the welfare of your future self.

Best,

Mostly Merch
